PuyoPuyo COLOR This is an Arcade Game Mactivity's CD-ROM nr 10 advice: This application did run on a color 68030 processor under System 7.1. It was also tested on a big ColorScreen of a PowerMacintosh running System 7.1.2. The game was also tested on a Quadra with 68040 processor and a 13 inch Color Screen and System 7.1 by Mactivity. Attention: This application runs only on COLOR monitors. Pairs of colored Puyos constantly drop from the top of the screen. If they stack up to the top of the screen, you're toast! To avoid that, you need to zap Puyos off the board. Make four or more touch, and they'll disappear. They don't have to line up-they just need to touch one another. (You can't use diagonals, though!) Puyos that touch "cling" to one another. Your opponent will try to drop these troublemakers on you, so you should return the favor! Whenever you zap Puyos, these will drop on your opponent. The more you zap (and the more chain reactions you form), the more that will drop on your opponent. To get rid of these guys, you need to zap Puyos placed next to them. Carbuncle. He'll watch over your game to make sure you play fair! PuyoPuyo was a game originally developed by Sega/Compile on the Sega Mega Drive. It's one of the best Sega games out there, and if you can hunt it down, you can play it on a Sega Genesis with a small adaptor. Also, an Americanized version called "Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine" was just released by Sega of America. However, a game this good needed a Macintosh version! This version of PuyoPuyo was written and developed by me, John Stiles, and I owe special thanks to Phil Stroffolino for assistance in programming and debugging.
